About substance

A pure substance consists of single type of particles. In other words, a substance is a pure single form of matter. And it is a homogenous mixture.

Differences between HOMOGENOUS and HETEROGENOUS mixtures.

Homogenous mixtures :-A mixture which has a uniform composition throughout such mixtures are called homogenous mixture for example are like salt is dissolved in the water or sugar dissolved in water.

Heterogeneous mixtures:- A mixture which has a non-uniform composition throughout such mixture are called heterogeneous mixture for example are like mixture of sodium chloride and iron filings, mixture of salt and Sulphur, and oil and water.

About the Suspension

A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture the particles of suspension are to small that we cannot see them with our naked eyes, and scatter the beam of light passing through it and make the path visible.

About the colloidal (sol)

A colloidal (sol) is a heterogeneous mixture and the particles are too small can be individually seen with our naked eyes and the particles scatter the beam of light passing through it and make the path visible.
