About Microorganisms
Microorganisms are too small that we can see them with our naked eyes to see them we have to use a magnifying glass or microscope and some are too small that we can not see them with the magnifying glass as well and they can live in any environment ranging from ice cold climate to hot springs, desert, and marshy lands.
Major groups of Microorganisms
There are four types of Microorganisms and those are Bacteria, Fungi, Protozoa, and Algae.
(1) Bacteria:- These are the microorganisms that produce in humans diseases like typhoid and tuberculosis (TB).
(2) Fungi:- Fungi are important to everyday human life. Fungi are important decomposers in most ecosystems.
(3) Protozoa:- They are the microorganisms that can cause serious diseases like dysentery and malaria.
(4) Algae:- Algae is an informal term for a large and diverse group of photosynthetic eukaryotic organisms. It is a polyphyletic grouping, including species from multiple distinct clades.
